It was good to talk – BME: “Our Health, Our conversations”

DSC04615

27th April 2016 saw Leeds Social Care Community Forum Conference at Leeds Civic Hall. This year the conference focussed on conversations about Real Health and Real Experiences. It included a programme of speeches, workshops, information and advice stalls and Q&A sessions on four topics; Dementia, End of Life, Men’s health and BME day services.

The following hopefully captures in pictures some of the interaction. To join the forum or for more information please contact kuldeep.bajwa@leeds.gov.uk

The next meeting of the forum is on the 18th May at Frederick Hurdle Day Centre, Chapeltown Road, Leeds 7, 6pm-8pm. All welcome.

It was an excellent event and a pleasure to be there to co-present the dementia workshops, which were well-attended and lively.
