Leeds Learning Disability Customer Award Winners 2014 – Employee of the Year

Employee of the Year – Ian Fawcett

Ian Fawcett - Employee of the Year

Criteria: a person with a learning disability who works for a person or business and is paid for doing so.  This may be someone who excels in their job, works well as part of a team, goes above and beyond, is punctual, or has held the job for many years.

Watch this short video to see why Ian was nominated.

For more than 15 years Ian has held down his job working at Tesco one day each week.  In this time he has become a highly valued member of the staff team.  Although Ian’s health has begun to deteriorate he has been determined to continue with his work and this has been a massive personal achievement for him.

More information about the awards is available here.

Well done Ian
