Leep the Bridge

Leep the Bridge

Another great example of social enterprise under the “Ideas that change Lives” project, is “Leep the Bridge”, a new service for people with learning disabilities. “Leep the bridge” responds to a need for people to socialise and they offer a range of activities tailored to customers’ expressed interests and preferences.

Leep the Bridge is an off shoot of The Bridge, a day service for adults with a learning disability. The service is funded by Leeds Adult Social Care and was set up as part of the city wide modernisation of learning disability provision. We talked to Carol-Ann, service manager at The Bridge who kindly agreed to share with us their new social enterprise idea.
